Participation – why do we want to involve the public?
Our mission at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is to work together for a safer Scotland.
One of the key principles and values that underlines the approach we take is that of active engagement and consultation. The process of public involvement gives people and communities the chance to become involved in decision making processes.
We want to engage with the people of Scotland and reflect the diversity of its people. We seek feedback on our services to understand the needs, experiences and expectations of the communities we serve. This means we can improve and develop our services to meet these needs.
