SFRS Board to consider Service Delivery Review recommendations in June
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Board will meet on Monday, 22 June to consider the outcome of its Service Delivery Review (SDR) and make final decisions on proposed changes to more than 30 fire stations across Scotland.
A suite of recommendations has been developed from the 23 options for change consulted on during summer 2025. These proposals have been informed by extensive feedback from the public, staff and stakeholders, alongside detailed operational, financial and equality analysis.
The recommendations have been presented to the Service’s Strategic Leadership Team, which will undertake further detailed scrutiny before submitting final proposals to the SFRS Board.
SFRS Chief Officer Stuart Stevens said: “This has been an extensive and detailed process, with a significant amount of work undertaken to engage with our staff, communities and elected members to fully understand their views.
“We have taken great care to analyse the feedback received and give it thorough and considered attention as we move towards the next stage.
“We recognise that this process has been challenging for communities and our staff where changes are proposed, and I am hugely grateful to everyone who has taken the time to engage with us and contribute their views.
“We remain committed to keeping people informed and will continue to provide updates as the process progresses.”
