On Thursday, 27 November we will be hosting an online engagement session at 6pm.
During this session you can learn more about the Control role, the requirements and recruitment process.
You can also seek guidance and information from existing Control firefighters who will be there on the day.
You can book your place at this online event via Eventbrite.
On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December we will host open days at our three Operations Control sites in Dundee, Edinburgh and Johnstone.
You can explore each site, learn about the systems we use and speak with some of our Control firefighters and managers about the job and recruitment process.
Individual sessions will run between 10am and 3pm. You must book a specific timeslot before attending.
You must pass each stage to progress to the next.

ALICE (Automated Language Inference Cognitive Evaluation) is a platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse the answers you provide and assist our recruitment team in selecting candidates.
When you send your responses, the AI reads your application answers and scores them using a matrix provided by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS). This scoring is based on the National Fire Chiefs Council’s (NFCC) Leadership Framework, NFCC Code of Ethics, and SFRS Values.
The system gives us the reason for the score it assigns, based only on the information in your answers. Members of the SFRS team will make the final shortlisting decisions. For more details on how we use AI in this process and your data protection rights, please see the privacy notice.

If you successfully progress to this stage, you will be invited to attend an interview lasting approximately one hour.
