Fire safety education for schools, youth groups, and carers
How to access education resources, book fire safety talks or visits, and learn how to keep young people safe from fire.
Our commitment to education
We are committed to keeping Scotland’s to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people of Scotland. Education and early intervention are key parts of our prevention work.
Our teams work with young people in schools and communities to share important fire safety messages. These sessions help reduce fire incidents and keep communities safe.
All our education activities follow our thematic action plan, which focuses on key safety themes throughout the year.
Our resources are designed to:
- raise awareness of fire risks
- build understanding of how to stay safe
- help people know what to do in an emergency
By promoting safety and resilience, we aim to reduce fire-related incidents and strengthen community wellbeing across Scotland.
About the thematic action plan
Our thematic action plan sets out the main safety topics we’ll focus on this year. Each theme supports learning and engagement with children, young people, teachers, and youth organisations.
You can use these materials to support lessons, workshops, or discussions about fire safety and prevention.
