About the sessions

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) will open applications for wholetime firefighter roles on Thursday, 14 August.

We are encouraging anyone interested in applying to attend one of our upcoming engagement sessions.

These sessions are a great opportunity to learn more about the role, the recruitment process and what it’s like to work for the SFRS.

We will be hosting a mix of online and in-person events over the coming weeks.

Please refer to the following details to attend one of the sessions. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Sessions open to everyone

Our online sessions are open to all and will provide an overview of the role and the recruitment process. The sessions will be delivered on Teams.

Session for ethnic minority applicants

We are committed to building a workforce that truly reflects the community that we served. Therefore, this event is specifically for individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds who are interested in exploring a career with SFRS.

Sessions supporting women in firefighting

We are committed to increasing the representation of women in the Service. These sessions are designed to provide insight into the firefighter role and encourage women to consider a career with SFRS.
