The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has approved its strategy for 2025-28, which aims to improve safety and resilience in communities across Scotland.
You can now read the final strategy and learn more about how it will guide our work in the years ahead.
Thank you to everyone who took part in our public consultation earlier this year and shared their views. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping a clearer and more focused strategy.
This strategy has been shaped by your voices, and together we’re setting a clear course for a safer Scotland.
It outlines SFRS’ priorities through five key objectives.
Each objective includes a desired outcome, a vision of what success looks like, and our planned approach to achieving it.
Mark McAteer, Director of Strategic Planning, Performance, and Communications (SPPC), said: “Engaging with the people we serve is important to ensuring our work reflects the needs and priorities of our communities.
“This strategy has been shaped by your voices, and together we’re setting a clear course for a safer Scotland.”
Siobhian Brown MSP, Minister for Victims and Community Safety, said: “I am pleased to approve the SFRS Strategy 2025-28 which aligns with the priorities set out within the Scottish Government’s Fire and Rescue Framework.
“The SFRS Strategy is a key step in the ongoing journey to be a sustainable and modern fire and rescue service for Scotland.”
