Our crews will pause at 12pm this Sunday to remember colleagues who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Firefighters Memorial Day gives everyone the opportunity to remember firefighters who lost their lives while protecting others. It also allows space to reflect on the contributions of serving and retired firefighters.
On Sunday, our operational crews will parade at community fire stations across Scotland and take part in a minute's silence.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Chief Officer Stuart Stevens said: "Firefighters Memorial Day provides us all with a chance to reflect on the selfless bravery shown by firefighters each and every day.
"It's an opportunity to honour those who lost their lives while serving their communities, as well as an opportunity to recognise the contributions of our serving and retired firefighters.
"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of our firefighters for all they do for our Service and for the people of Scotland."
