Peterhead firefighter takes on 555-mile charity cycle
Firefighter George Gourlie from Peterhead Community Fire Station is cycling around Ireland in five days as part of Doddie’s Lions Challenge.

On Sunday, 15 June, Firefighter George Gourlie of Peterhead Community Fire Station will undertake an incredible challenge, cycling around Ireland in five days.
As part of Doddie’s Lions Challenge, George joined 50 other riders to raise funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
This remarkable effort is in honour of the late Doddie Weir.
George has set up a personal fundraising page and is hoping for support from everyone, including colleagues across the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to help shine a spotlight on the cause.
You can learn more about the challenge on Doddie’s Lios Challenge website and check out George’s fundraising page.
