Fire and rescue service colleagues raise over £6,000 for men's mental health charity
Station Commander Ben Adams and Crew Commander Control Paul Leonard recently completed a 25k walk around Edinburgh.
Station Commander Ben Adams, based in East and West Dunbartonshire, Argyll and Bute, and Crew Commander Control Paul Leonard from Edinburgh Operations Control have helped raise £6,056 for men's mental health charity Spoke to a Bloke.
The pair recently completed a 25k walk around Edinburgh, starting at the Meadows and finishing at Edinburgh Castle and reaching the top of Blackford Hill along the way.
The fundraising supports the charity, which focuses on improving men's mental health through conversation, peer support, and community work.
Station Commander Ben Adams said: "Taking part in this challenge was something I really wanted to do to support men's mental health.
"It's an issue that affects so many people, and charities like Spoke to A Bloke are making a real difference by encouraging people to talk and support each other."
Crew Commander Control Paul Leonard said: "It was a tough but rewarding experience. Raising funds is important, but so is raising awareness.
"If this encourages even one person to reach out or check in with someone else, then it's been worthwhile."
Their efforts highlight the importance of open conversations and the impact of community support.
