Firefighters worked to extinguish a large fire in Glasgow on Monday morning.
Crews were alerted to reports of a fire which had taken hold within a ground floor building on Scotland Street around 5am.
Despite the challenging circumstances, crews worked effectively and efficiently to bring the situation under control and were able to successfully contain and extinguish the fire.
There were no casualties.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Area Manager Jim McNeil was on the scene.
He said: "This was a well developed fire by the time crews arrived.
"Firefighters worked quickly and effectively to contain the fire to one section of the impacted building before finally extinguishing it.
"I would like to praise the crews on the ground for their efforts, they brought this difficult situation under control quickly and worked very effectively.
"Thanks to our partners as well for helping us ensure the area was made safe.
"Firefighters will remain on the scene at present to ensure the surrounding area is made completely safe."
