A dedicated firefighter who has served their community for more than 20 years has been recognised with a special award.
Station Manager David Scott (right) was recently presented with his Long Service Good Conduct Medal by Local Senior Officer (LSO) Mike Dickson (left).
The medals are presented to exceptionally dedicated members of staff like SM Scott who was formerly manager of Prevention and Protection in Aberdeen City.
He was also congratulated on his recent promotion to Station Manager, now working in the Aberdeenshire and Moray area.
LSO Dickson said: “I am delighted to present David with his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
“There can be no doubt that he has earned this recognition through years of hard work and loyal commitment to the service and people of Aberdeen and beyond.
“His work in prevention and protection played a major part in ensuring that the people of Aberdeen City are not only aware of the risks, but know what to do in the event that they do face an emergency situation.
“Our staff members will often go that extra mile, and they are unrivalled in their commitment and dedication to the role and protecting the people of Scotland.
“David is a fine example of this ethos and I would like to congratulate him on his much deserved appointment as Station Manager.”
