Firefighters were called to a shopping centre in East Kilbride following a smell of burning within the building.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a call just after 8am. Two appliances from East Kilbride and one from Castlemilk were mobilised to the scene.

The smell was quickly sourced to a ventilation system within the centre and an electrician is now on scene attempting to fix the fault.

One appliance remains at the scene as a precaution. No injuries have been reported.
