People are being invited to find out how the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been serving communities across the country.
The third Annual Performance Review of the SFRS will be held in Glasgow this month.
The event will be hosted by the Minister for Community Safety and Legal Affairs, Ms Annabelle Ewing - and it is open to the public.
It will give members of the community the opportunity to ask the Fire Board questions about their performance over the past year.
Ms Ewing said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service continues to build on its prevention, protection and response work, contributing to the general decreasing trend in the total number of fires in Scotland in the last 10 years.
“This meeting is an opportunity for Government and members of the public to review the performance of our national Fire and Rescue Service now we’re three years into the single service.
“It is an excellent opportunity for the Service to update members of the public on the work that has been done and also gives our communities the chance to direct questions to the Board on matters which are important to them.
“The Scottish Government recognises the vital service the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service does to keep our communities safe.“
The Annual Performance Review Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 9 August at the SFRS Headquarters at Westburn Drive in Cambuslang, from 9.30 – 10.45am.
