Firefighter pay offer accepted

SFRS responds to ballot outcome

Responding to news that members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) have accepted the National Employers pay offer, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service's Interim Deputy Chief Officer Stuart Stevens said: "I’m delighted that an agreement has been reached and that industrial action has been averted.

"This means firefighters will receive a well-deserved 7 per cent increase in pay backdated to July 2022, with a further 5 per cent pay from 1 July this year.

"We welcome the support of the FBU and National Employers to make this possible, as well as the support of the Scottish Government."
