16 August - Interior Progress
Progress is now being made inside the main building of the Newbridge Training Centre.
29 June - Significant progress has been made
The ceremonies turf cutting took place less than four months ago and significant progress has been made on the site of the new training centre at Newbridge.
The pictures below show the progress of the technical support and RTC buildings.
10 June – Drone footage of the site
Drone pictures have been taken of the site to show the overall progress, so far.
29 May 2018 – Ground works
Work is substantially complete on the steel superstructure of the technical support and RTC (Road Traffic Collision) buildings, as well as the ground works.
07 May 2018 – Technical support building
The steel frame for the technical support building began to take shape.
The building will house occupational health, training and lecture rooms on the first floor. On the ground floor there will be locker rooms, showers, kit storage, breathing apparatus servicing and dirty lecture rooms.
20 April 2018 - Drone footage
Work is well underway at the new training centre as you can see from these pictures captured using a drone.
08 March 2018 - Turf Cutting Ceremony
A turf cutting ceremony led by Community Safety and Legal Affairs Minister, Annabelle Ewing, marked the first phase of construction at the SFRS East Headquarters in the city’s Newbridge area. You can find out more information about the ceremony and hear what Chief Officer Alasdair Hay and Minister for Community Safety Annabelle Ewing said about the project.
