Crews used cutting gear to release the trapped casualty

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended a collision involving one car on the Standing Stane Road, Kirkcaldy yesterday afternoon (21 December).

Two appliances from Kirkcaldy fire station were mobilised to the scene by Thornton Operations Control after the collision was reported 1.31pm.

On arrival, firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to safely remove the trapped male driver.

The casualty was passed into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service and hospital.
