Crews attend kitchen fire in Falkirk restaurant

Appliances from Falkirk, Larbert and Bo'ness attended.

Firefighters were called to a restaurant in Falkirk this morning (23 March) following a fire in the kitchen.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Operations Control Maddiston received a 999 call at 5.34am, reporting a fire at Sanam Restaurant in Callendar Road, Falkirk. 

Appliances were sent from Falkirk, Larbert and Bo’ness fire stations and on arrival firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets. 

The fire had started in the kitchen and caused smoke and heat damage to the building.

The Fire Investigation Team are currently carrying out an investigation.
