Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are currently dealing with a fire at Docharty Industrial Estate in Dingwall.

The call to Robert Cassie slating and roofing business in Docharty Road was made at 2.35pm. Two appliances from Dingwall and one from Beauly are at the scene, along with the water carrier from Inverness.

Crews set up three ground monitors (fixed position hoses which can be manoeuvred) to deal with the fire. Firefighters are also concentrating their efforts on gas cylinders known to have been involved in the fire.

A 200m cordon has been set up by Police Scotland at the request of SFRS and nearby premises have been evacuated as a precaution. The fire itself has been extinguished and the damping down process continues.

The incident is ongoing.
