Two Fraserburgh appliances attended the scene at Inverallochy crossroads

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended a serious two vehicle collision at the Inverallochy crossroads between St Combs and Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire last night (29 September 2014).

Two appliances from Fraserburgh were sent to the scene after the collision was reported at around 7.15pm.

Firefighters rescued one person from one of the vehicles by removing the roof using hydraulic cutting equipment.

The casualty was placed in the care of paramedics and taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment. There were two other casualties and sadly one fatality.

Police Scotland will be carrying out a full road collision investigation into the incident.
