House fire in New Galloway

Appliances from New Galloway and Kirkcudbright attended the fire on Saturday night


Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to attend a house fire in Kirk Road, New Galloway on Saturday night (23 August 2014).

The fire was reported to control at 8.16pm and appliances from New Galloway and Kirkcudbright attended.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire. There was damage to a settee and the remainder of house was damaged by smoke.

Thankfully there was no one inside the property when the fire service arrived.
