Scottish Fire and Rescue were called to respond to reports of a vehicle fire in Fowler's Court, Prestonpans at 10.51am this morning (28 November 2013).

A line painting vehicle was well alight when crews from Musselburgh and Liberton arrived at the scene.

Firefighters had been alerted to the fact that the vehicle contained propane cylinders and Police were called to assist in making the area safe. SEPA and Scottish Water were also informed of the incident.

Crews used a main jet and ground monitors to firstly extinguish the fire and then cool the cylinders down. They also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.

By around 1.09pm the cylinders and vehicle were sufficiently cooled and crews left the scene shortly afterwards.
