SFRS crews were called out to deal with a small fire within Albion Rovers' Cliftonhill stadium in the early hours of this morning.

The fire, which was reported at 12.41am happened within a food kiosk in the main stand.

Two appliances from Coatbridge and one from Bellshill community fire station attended the incident at the stadium in Coatbridge's Main Street. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and the last pump left the scene at 1.49am.

Police Scotland say they are treating the fire as suspicious and a joint investigation will now be carried out with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
