Residents evacuated following flat fire in Inverness

Extensive smoke damage to ground floor flat


Firefighters were called to deal with a fire at a ground floor flat in MacIntosh Road, Inverness just after midnight this morning (29 August 2013).

Two appliances from Inverness attended the incident and firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.

The blaze caused extensive smoke damage to the property.

Residents were evacuated from the block of flats as a precaution but fortunately no one was injured as a result of the incident.
