SFRS attended serious road traffic collision near Inverurie at weekend

Crews from Oldmeldrum, Inverurie and Kintore attended the collision on the B9001 at Mains of Glack

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended a serious two vehicle road traffic collision on the B9001 at Mains of Glack, Inverurie on Saturday (17 October 2015).

Operations control received the call at 6.46pm and dispatched one appliance from Inverurie, one from Oldmeldrum and one from Kintore to the scene.

Sadly one male casualty died. Firefighters administered trauma care to a female casualty and used hydraulic rescue equipment used to remove the roof of the car and side doors. A third casualty self-rescued.

The last appliance left the scene at 9.11pm.

Police Scotland was in attendance and the casualties were placed in the care of Scottish Ambulance Service paramedics.
