Two dogs had a lucky escape when the car they were in rolled into a loch in Dunfermline, Fife.

Operations Control Thornton received a call at 8.22pm on Saturday evening (26 September) and mobilised crews from Dunfermline along with water rescue crews from Glenrothes fire station.

On arrival firefighters discovered the partiallysubmerged car in Townhill Loch with two dogs trapped in the vehicle.

Crews managed to rescue the two dogs, both cross collies called Ruby (2) and Dougal (12) and thankfully they were both unharmed after their ordeal.
