Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended a house fire in Toch Hill Road, Fourdon on Saturday morning (27 June 2015).

The fire in the Kincardineshire village was reported to control at 6.51am and five appliances were sent to the scene, along with a number of support vehicles.

There were two pumps from Stonehaven, one from Inverbervie, one from Montrose, the Incident Command Unit and support pump from Altens, the Incident Support Vehicle from Dyce and the height vehicle and supporting pump from Central Fire Station in Aberdeen.

Four casualties with minor injuries escaped from the semi-detached property via an upstairs window and were placed in the care of paramedics.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used one main jet and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire on the ground floor. The height vehicle was also used during the incident as a water tower.

The fire investigation team was also drafted in to look into the cause of the fire. Those inquiries are ongoing.
