Fire crews extinguished caravan fire in Dundee last night

A pump and the aerial rescue platform from MacAlpine Road attended the fire at Invergowrie Technology Park

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called to respond to reports of a caravan on fire within the Technology Park in the Invergowrie area of Dundee last night.

The call was received by Dundee Control at 10.06pm and two appliances were sent to the scene, a pump and the aerial rescue platform from MacAlpine Road in Dundee.

The caravan was well-alight when crews arrived and firefighters in breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire within 25 minutes.

After damping the area down the last appliance left the scene at 10.43pm.

Inquiries into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
