SFRS publishes Environmental Strategy
18 December 2014
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has published its first ever Environmental Strategy.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service recognises that we have a key role to play in protecting the environment here in Scotland and to help us achieve this we have published our first Environmental Strategy.
The Strategy, which runs until 2017, sets outs the Service’s priorities for mitigating and minimising, where we can, our impact on the environment. It also contains an initial outline action plan that will detail how we will achieve those priorities.
The document also lays out in clear terms our environmental vision: to be a high performing, environmentally conscious and responsible organisation through prevention, partnership, people and continuous improvement.
The document is now live and you can read it
If you have any questions or thoughts on the strategy you can contact the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s Energy and Environment Officer, Allan Sandilands, on
