Crews attend a road traffic collision on Queensferry Road, Edinburgh

Hydraulic cutting gear was used to release one male casualty

RtcScottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to attend a road traffic collision involving one car on Queensferry Road at the Drumbrae junction in Edinburgh early this morning (28 August).

Two appliances from Crewe Toll were immediately mobilised at 3.17am to the incident and on arrival found the vehicle had hit a wall trapping one male casualty. 

Firefighters got to work stabilising the vehicle then used hydraulic cutting gear to free the casualty. He was then passed into the care of the Ambulance Service who took him to hospital for treatment.
