Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to a minor incident involving a tram and a bus in Edinburgh at 7.57am this morning (29 August).

Appliances from Tollcross and McDonald Road were mobilised to the scene at Coates Place between the junction of Palmerston Place and Manor Place where a bus had collided into the side of a tram.  There were no people trapped in either vehicle.

The tram line was stopped in both directions and fire crews worked closely with Tram authorities and Police Scotland to separate the bus from the tram.
