Crews tackle fire which spread to roof

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a house fire in Victoria Street, Craigshill, Livingston on Friday (27th September).

Operations Control Edinburgh took the call at 6.02pm and quickly mobilised crews from Livingston fire station.

On arrival crews donned breathing apparatus to tackle a fully developed fire in a bungalow that had spread to the roof.  Additional crews from Bathgate and West Calder fire stations were requested.

Using lines of hose and high pressure hose reels firefighters managed to bring the fire under control and extinguish.

There is an investigation underway to establish a cause of the fire
