Man injured in Perth building blaze

More than 30 firefighters battle to bring flames under control.

A man has been injured after a fire broke out at a five-storey building in Perth.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and the ambulance service were called to the property in George Street at 8:17am on Friday.

More than 30 firefighters were involved in bringing the blaze under control.

The road surrounding the building has been closed and motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.

An ambulance was requested for one male casualty.

There have been no further reports of any other injuries.
